Kenyan Govt to Ban Bulk Hate Texts

The government will, with the assistance of mobile phone service providers, block the transmission of inflammatory or hate messages and seek the prosecution of those sending such bulk political messages once the National Cohesion and Integration Commission gives the go-ahead. The Communications Commission of Kenya, which regulates the telecommunications sector, says bulk SMSs containing such messages will be barred. Abdi Osman reports.
