The City of Cape Town says it will have to deploy VIP protection to mayor Patricia de Lille's house pending a security reassessment by the SAPS. This follows ANC leader in council - Xolani Sotashe's visit to the mayor's private home and distributing pictures to the public and social media. Sotashe has alleged that the ANC has evidence in its possession that de Lille used taxpayers money for recent upgrades to her residence.
