Last week and today, the NIPDB conducted stakeholder engagement sessions with various industry groups to introduce the National Internship Programme and Youth Tax Incentive with the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises. The sessions provided an opportunity to present the project and clarify key aspects.
Groups Engaged:
- Regulators & Development Partners
- Banks & Financial Services
- Professional Services & ICT & Telecommunications
- Engineering Companies & Mining Companies
During the sessions, participants sought clarity on how the tax incentive will function and how companies can enroll in the programme. Common questions revolved around the duration of internships and remuneration for interns.
Upcoming Sessions:
21 February 2024: Commercial Public Enterprises & Tourism
27 February 2024: Manufacturers & Energy
In the upcoming sessions, we will present the internship programme and tax incentive to new sectors and address any queries or concerns raised. Virtual participation options will also be available for those unable to attend in person. Tune in here: https://lnkd.in/dJTy83Dw
