Zimbabwe's opposition Movement for Democratic Change says party leader Nelson Chamisa escaped an abduction attempt by suspected state security agents. The incident occurred as an MDC convoy was returning from a rally in Marondera, the party says. The government has responded by saying the Central Intelligence Organisation was not involved.
