Most South African Municipalities Not Delivering for Citizens
If the South African public were ever in doubt at the reasons for service delivery protests in townships and municipalities, a closer look should be taken at the municipal audit report released by Auditor-General Kimi Makwetu who expressed concern at the financial mismanagement at municipal level. Just 18 out of 257 municipalities received a clean audit.
