Nigerian Senate Under Fire Over 'Bow and Go' Screening Policy

Nigerians who watched the two-day screening of the ministerial nominees accused the Senate of denying them the opportunity to assess the capacity and competence of the "appointees" for cabinet positions. The policy which began in 2003 as a privilege strictly for nominees who had served in the Senate has now been extended to everyone with legislative experience at federal and state levels.
