Will Buhari Ban Islamic Almajiri School System in Nigeria?

The government is under pressure to regulate the activities of Islamic schools, following the raid and rescue of over 300 boys and men from a building that claimed to be an Islamic school in Kaduna. The 'almajiri' is a system of Islamic education practised in Northern Nigeria where children are sent by their parents to live with and study Quranic education at a teacher's place. However, the children are allegedly reduced to a life of begging on the streets to survive.
