The three nations of Ivory Coast, Guinea and Liberia are situated in the Mano River Union basin, which is within the ECOWAS region. To curb the spread of COVID-19, Ivory Coast was the first to seal its borders, followed by Guinea and lastly Liberia, which joined them on March 30, 2020.
