Ramaphosa to Testify Before South African Graft Commission

President Cyril Ramaphosa's office has confirmed that he will appear before the Judicial Commission of Inquiry Into allegations of state capture. The statement comes after former public enterprises minister Lynne Brown told the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into state capture, that the board of electricity giant Eskom, wanted Brian Molefe to be chief executive of the state-owned enterprise in 2015. Molefe, whose exit from the national power utility followed revelations of his close relationship with the Gupta family, also claimed that President Cyril Ramaphosa and mining company Glencore collaborated to extort Eskom.
