Marburg Outbreak Claims 9 in Rwanda as WHO Responds

The World Health Organisation (WHO) is preparing medical support to Rwanda to help the country stop the outbreak of Marburg virus disease (MVD), a haemorrhagic fever which has so far claimed the lives of nine people. 

Minister of Health Dr Sabin Nsanzimana has said that 300 people had been identified as contacts of the confirmed cases and were under constant monitoring.
