The full text of the Johannesburg Communique-Call to Action issued by the African Ministerial Conference on Climate-Smart Agriculture which concluded in Johannesburg on September 14, 2011.  Andrew Steer, World Bank Special Envoy on Climate Change, said after the conference: "The Johannesburg Communique underscores the gravity of the threat posed by climate change to sustainable development in Africa," adding "In Durban and beyond, I hope climate smart agriculture will be recognized as part of the solution to climate change."
