Indicted Politicians Annouce Formal Alliance in Kenya

Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP William Ruto have publicly unveiled their joint ticket in the race to State House, in which Kenyatta will run for the presidency with Ruto as his running mate. The pre-election deal between Kenyatta's The National Alliance party and Ruto's United Republican Party was unveiled at a rally held at Nakuru's Afraha Stadium. Ruto and Kenyatta, who are both facing crimes against humanity charges at the International Criminal Court, expressed confidence that their joint ticket will win the March  2013 election.
