South Africa: Radio Personality Eddie Zondi Dies

Popular South African radio station Metro FM has confirmed that one of their most popular DJs, Eddie Zondi, died.

Metro FM manager Martin Vilakazi broke the news on air, IOL reports, and said Zondi was rushed to hospital where he passed away after an apparent heart attack.

Zondi hosted The Romantic Repertoire on Sundays from 3pm to 6pm, and had also released four compilation CDs of ballads.

His fans took to Facebook and Twitter to pay tribute:
