AFRICA CHALLENGES FOR HOME OWNERSHIP

While Africa provides immense opportunities in the affordable housing sector, it also faces many challenges for home ownership.

• Affordability: Poorly functioning housing markets that do not provide a range of affordable housing alternatives, especially for low- and middle-income households.
• Access to Housing Finance: Conventional housing finance in Africa is undeveloped and seldom serves low and middle income households.

Signature through Rent-to-Own (RTO) intends to capitalize the home ownership challenges to convert them into a business opportunity. RTO intends to fill the void by providing solutions which enable the people to realize their dreams of home ownership.
RTO is well established concept in the western world especially in US and Canada. RTO is an ideal way for many individuals and families who want to have home ownership. Signature plans to launch its first RTO model of home ownership in Mozambique in Q3 2014, with an intension of replicating the model in other African countries.
