Poverty, Health Practices Deny Education to Young Women

Across Africa, young women are missing out on an education. A recent study in Zimbabwe found that a third of all primary school aged-girls and 67 percent of all secondary school-aged girls were denied an education because of poverty, abuse and cultural practices.

Some of the lowest health and education levels in the world are found in Equatorial Guinea.
