Media Buzz As Buhari Makes UK Visit, Meets PM Cameron

Nigerian President-elect Muhammadu Buhari is on a private visit to Britain, his first such trip outside the country since winning the March 28th presidential election. Minister of Petroleum Resources Diezani Alison-Madueke was on the same British Airways flight, according to Sahara Reporters. Aides said the president-elect needed private moments to study and ready himself for assumption of office. "He is expected back in the country a few days before the inauguration, refreshed and ready to hit the ground running once he is sworn into office," his media team said. In a May 23 meeting, Buhari discussed a range of issues with British Prime Minister David Cameron, including corruption and terrorism.
