Liberia's Foreign Minister Resigns to Contest in 2017

Augustine Ngafuan, who is regarded as a confidant of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, says he has resigned as Foreign Minister to explore political options in the country's 2017 elections. Under Liberian law, Presidential appointees must resign at least two years before running for public office.
