Museveni Takes Early Lead in Uganda Polls

Incumbent and ruling party presidential candidate Yoweri Museveni has maintained the lead, while Kizza Besigye, a four-time presidential contender and the Forum for Democratic Change party candidate, made slight gains, according to the provisional results.

Citizens who had turned up at St Peters Nursery and Primary School Kyebando Nsumbi Polling Station throw ballot boxes and other material. The action was apparently sparked by voting being delayed for several hours.
