Importers Pay Dearly for Delays at Kenya Port

The lack of multiple grain handlers, rain and inefficiencies are some of what importers are experiencing at Mombasa Port. "We are incurring huge costs at the moment as we are required to pay for delays every day at a rate of U.S.$15,000 (Sh1.5 million) for a single ship," an official of an importing firm has said.
