Police countrywide have stepped up vigilance on the roads on the second day of the implementation of new traffic rules. Close to 1,000 motorists have so far been arrested since the new rules took effect, with the police saying that the crackdown will continue until normalcy is restored on Kenyan roads. Public service vehicles are also slowly resuming duty following two days of an unannounced strike to challenge the laws.
