Al-Qaeda Militants Who Kidnapped a South African Contacted Gift of Givers

The al-Qaeda militants in Mali who kidnapped South African Stephen McGowan has made further contact with the Gift of Givers this afternoon. McGowan was captured together with Swede Johan Gustafsson from Timbuktu four years ago. The foundation's head Dr Imtiaaz Sooliman says negotiations are being carried out by a negotiator of Malian origin. At the centre of the correspondence is a video - which the captors are hoping to send through to the Gift of the Givers.
