'I Am Free!' - De Lille Quits South Africa's Democratic Alliance

Patricia de Lille has announced her resignation as both mayor of Cape Town and as a member of the Democratic Alliance (DA), and signed her resignation letter outside the Western Cape High Court to cheers from supporters. De Lille's exit comes after a series of legal battles with the DA - the former mayor was accused of misconduct, faced a motion of confidence and was suspended from the party.
