Nigeria Allowed to Appeal Against U.S.$9.6 Billion Asset Seizure

A British court has allowed the Nigerian government to appeal against a ruling that would have allowed an Irish firm to seize assets worth U.S.$9.6 billion. Last month an arbitration court ruled that a gas company founded by two Irish businessmen was entitled to take the assets from the Nigerian government as compensation for losses related to an aborted gas-processing project.
