Ministers Commit to Solving Nile Dam Dispute in Talks With Trump

The foreign ministers of Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan have met with President Donald Trump and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in Washington to discuss the Grand Ethiopia Renaissance Dam on Ethiopia's Blue Nile. In a joint statement issued after the meeting, the ministers reaffirmed their commitment to reaching an agreement on "the filling and operation" of the GERD. Voice of America reports that the meeting had not been part of Trump's official schedule for the day.
