Nigeria Launches Campaign to End Open Defecation by 2025

In a bid to end open defecation in Nigeria by 2025, President Muhammadu Buhari has launched a national programme tagged: "Clean Nigeria: Use the Toilet". The campaign aims to achieve universal access to sanitation, with toilets available to all. At least 46 million Nigerians are said to practice open defecation, an unhealthy practice that poses major health risks.
