Can South Africa's Ramaphosa Tighten Cadre Deployment Measures?

In what has now been dubbed "nine wasted years", the evolution of cadre deployment produced devastating consequences, with many politically aligned senior officials linked to poor performance at best and corruption in the worst cases, writes News24's Lizeka Tandwa. This comes as the South African President pledged to end deployment of poorly qualified affiliates in key state posts while wanting the African Naitonal Congress to scrutinise the résumés of councillors and hold those who are failing to account.
