Army Generals Running Mining, Fuel Cartels in Zimbabwe - Report

The influence of the military in Zimbabwean politics is reported to be on the ascendancy while the army generals have also been reported to be heavily involved in the mining and fuel sectors as they increase their control under President Emmerson Mnangagwa's rule, according to an American nonprofit global policy think tank. Earlier, Prosecutor-General Kumbirai Hodzi said corruption cartels had captured key government institutions including the police and judiciary, making it difficult to tackle graft or bring them to book.
