Corrupt Zimbabwean Big Shots Hiding Up to U.S.$7 Billion Abroad
The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission has identified over U.S.$7 billion in cash and properties stashed outside the economically-struggling country by former and current senior government officials and captains of industry, state-owned Herald newspaper has reported. Earlier, Prosecutor-General Kumbirai Hodzi said corruption cartels had captured key government institutions including the police and judiciary, making it difficult to tackle graft or bring them to book.
