U.S. Offers $7 Million Reward For Boko Haram Leader Shekau
The United States government has offered a U.S.$7 million reward for information that leads to the arrest of Abubakar Shekau, the leader of the insurgent group Boko Haram. There have been claims that Shekau has been killed, but the Boko Haram leader keeps resurfacing in videos. The group has killed tens of thousands and displaced 2.3 million people from their homes in the northeast region of Nigeria.
