Calls for More Nigerians to be Tested for COVID-19

Experts have expressed fears that hundreds of thousands of people across the country may have been exposed to the coronavirus but their status could not be ascertained. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control had adopted a strategy of limiting tests to only people already showing symptoms of the disease or whom have come in contact with confirmed cases. The agency boss Chikwe Ihekweazu said they were working to track down about 6,000 people who have been in contact with persons who tested positive to COVID-19. Nigeria has at least 135 cases and two deaths recorded so far.
