Liberia Parliament Approves State of Emergency

The Legislature has approved the state of emergency declared by President George Weah. It extended it to 60 days instead of the 21 days proposed by the President.

The Supreme Court in Liberia has halted the second runoff elections that were to be held on the 7th of November following a petition to look into the first round of elections.
