SADC Pledges Support to Mozambique After Cabo Delgado Attacks

Southern African heads of state and government have issued a post-summit communique committing themselves to supporting Mozambique in addressing "terrorism and violent attacks" but did not spell out any details.They met online on Monday as the security situation deteriorated in Cabo Delgado province, where insurgent violence has cost more than 1,000 lives and displaced 250 000 people since October 2017.
