ECOWAS to Send Team to Mali As Opposition Plans Rally

West African leaders have called for the ousted president of Mali to be restored to office following the coup that took place in the country. "We have decided to immediately send a high-level delegation in order to ensure the immediate return of constitutional order," Niger President Mahamadou Issoufou, chair of the regional bloc ECOWAS, said. Inside the country, opposition groups have vowed to work with the military officers who deposed President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita this week.
