Justice Assured for Kenya's Post-Election Violence Victims

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has reportedly revived cases against the perpetrators of the 2007-8 post-election violence that left more than a thousand people dead. George Kinoti, the director of the investigations unit said "the investigation was reopened, following complaints by several communities that they were being profiled and intimidated, amid rising political temperatures in the country". Those who lodged complaints, fearing for their lives, include past victims of the 2007-08 post-polls violence that displaced over half a million people. Kinoti assured the victims that they will see justice.
