Millions Used on South African Lottery Board Member's Luxury Home

U.S.$364,429 from a Lottery grant meant to build an old age home in Mpumalanga have been used to pay for a luxury home on a sprawling estate in North West Province, which was purchased by a company belonging to a board member of the National Lotteries Commission (NLC), writes Raymond Joseph for GroundUp. This marks the latest in a series of graft allegations leveled against the NLC whose offices were raided by the police's special investigative units after President Cyril Ramaphosa signed a proclamation authorising a probe into alleged corruption and maladministration at the NLC.
