ECOWAS Envoy Given 72 Hours to Leave Mali

The Malia transition government has ordered Hamidou Boly, the representative of the West African regional bloc ECOWAS to leave the country within 72 hours, from October 25, 2021.

Boly has been accused by the Junta, known as the National Committee for the Salvation of the People, of working against  the country's interests. A government statement said that Boly has been working closely with civil society organisations, political groups and the media.
