The Forces That Shaped Nigeria Preacher TB Joshua

A comprehensive BBC investigation reports that the late TB Joshua, founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), was part of widespread abuse and cover-ups within one of the world's largest evangelical churches.

The probe spans nearly 20 years and involves harrowing testimonies from numerous former SCOAN members, including five British individuals, who accuse Joshua of horrifying acts, such as rape, forced abortions, physical violence, and fake "miracle healings."

The church has remained silent on these allegations, though it has previously dismissed similar claims. Multiple victims shared their traumatic experiences, detailing instances of sexual assault, solitary confinement, and severe abuse, likening their time within SCOAN to being in a religious cult.

Joshua passed away on June 5, 2021.Ã'
