Liberian Govt Tells Former President Weah to Hire Private Guards
The elite Executive Protective Service has clarified that it has assigned several "well-trained agents with long-term experience" to former President George Weah, disputing claims that the number of guards deployed to protect the former leader were insufficient and unfit. "But if he so desires more security protection, he can hire private security guards," the force said in a statement.
Former President Weah, through the Secretary General of his opposition Coalition for Democratic Change, Jefferson Koijee, recently requested additional officers to beef up Weah's security.
