Liberian Court Halts Operation Of Special Presidential Taskforce
The Supreme Court has ordered the special taskforce set up by President Joseph Boakai to retrieve government's assets to desist from further action until a conference to discuss a writ from the court is held. The decision follows a complaint from the owners of a fleet of vehicles said to belong to the special aid of former President George M. Weah.
The head of the special taskforce, Edwin Kla Martin, had earlier told journalists that his team is committed to carrying out its mandate regardless of "threats",
