Are Rwandan First-Time Voters Excited About Upcoming Polls?

President Paul Kagame will be seeking a record fourth term in office when Rwandans go to the polls in July to elect a new president and members of the country's Parliament. Critics say the result of the vote is almost a foregone conclusion, with major opposition politician Victoire Ingabire barred from participating. The president only contender so far is the relatively unknown leader of the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda, Frank Habineza.

However, first-tme voters appear to be enthusiatic about casting their ballot. In a series of interviews carried out by the The New Times of Rwanda, they  share their excitement on the significance of finally having their voices heard in the democratic process.
