Nigerian Musician Ayra Starr Wins BET's Best International Act

Sarah Aderibigbe, professionally known as Ayra Starr, has won the 2025 BET Award for Best International Act at the 25th annual ceremony at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, United States.

She triumphed over a competitive field of nominees, including Tyla (South Africa), Rema (Nigeria), Black Sherif (Ghana), Uncle Waffles (Eswatini), Any Gabrielly (Brazil), Bashy (United Kingdom), Ezra Collective (United Kingdom), Joé Dwèt Filé (France), MC Luanna (Brazil), and SDM (France), to claim the prestigious 2025 BET Best International Act award.

Ayra Starr joins an elite group of African artists who have won the BET Best International Act award, following in the footsteps of Davido (2018), Burna Boy (2019, 2020, 2021, 2023), Tems (2022), and Tyla (2024).
