'Military Training from U.S. Begets .. Investment' - AFRICOM

The Deputy Commander of the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), General John W. Brennan, has said the focus of their mission over the years was to build the capacity of their African military partners to deal with a myriad of security challenges, including terrorism.

During an online briefing on Monday, Brennan and AFRICOM Commander for Civil-Military Engagement, Ambassador Robert Scott, said security partnerships with African nations allowed them to "project themselves as a safe place for investment".
