SACP Deputy General Secretary Regrets Backing Zuma

Rifts between the ANC and its alliance partners were again exposed today with the SACP reiterating calls for President Jacob Zuma to step down, or be recalled. SACP deputy general secretary, Solly Mapaila apologised for supporting Zuma at the 2007 Polokwane conference. Mapaila spoke at the veterans' national consultative conference in Johannesburg.
