Most of Africa got their independence through struggles, some of which involved arms and low level civil wars. I dont see the reason why there should so much antipathy against the TNC. The Libyan rebels should be given all the support they deserve. South Africa got it wrong on Cote D' Ivoire and Nigeria got it right. On Libya Nigeria gets it right again while SouthAfrica has shown that its policy on Africa needs to be re-engineered and more reflective of the changing times. Megalomaniacs do not belong to leadership they might see their citizens as 'rats and coakroaches'
May be the reason South Africa have always gotten it wrong in your opinion is because they went through a different struggle than the people of Nigeria did. South Africa suffered in the hands of the white man for a very long time after many countries in Africa had attained their so called independence (only to be re-colonized, mentally this time as your comment reflected) that's why they are quick to see the cruelty and hypocrisy of the white man. DID YOU THINK OF THAT MY AFRICAN BROTHER OR SISTER!
I strongly doubt that NATO/TNC need any support from anyone. Look past the demonization of Ghadaffi and onto his fight for keeping US permanent basis out of the continent, the establishment of an African Monetary Fund and a new currency to use in oil trades (moving away from the US dollar).
Of interest is also to whom the presence and influence of China in many countries is a threat.
... not to mention the numerous reports of the rebels' execution style killings of black africans.
As the President of Nigeria,he has stated to " get ready for good goverence", And this man with a PHD has made a stupid an elemental mistake. Not one year in office and he is proving that he loves the white people, By this statement it tells me he is incapable of rulling this country. This is a very serious mistake, were the rebels elected to office? who is the president? finance manager? vice president? How in hell can you speak of democracy without an election. What happens to the 1.3 Billion dollars of frozen assets to be released? Oh just give it to the white man or Mrs Clinton. 1. 3 billion he wants to just give it away. What he the Nigerian president say about Obama admittence that he interferred in the internal affairs of LIbya and started this mess over the interne?. What happens to the outstanding contracts? The United States was kicked out of Lybia and now they want back in under the old contracts, Who is going to handle this Mr. president? Is this what you call good governce? Africa cannot afford to show such ignorance in their leaders, Hopefully this is the last stupid thing he is going to do,
