Kenyan Govt to Scrap Proposed Food Tax

The government has bowed to public pressure to amend the VAT bill, which included a 16 percent tax on food and general consumer goods.

Dujis MP Aden Duale said the aggressive tax law will only increase the cost of living and inflation for ordinary Kenyans.
