They just want markets for their products. Indonesia needs land to growtheir deadly oil palm and wreck havoc onthe environment.
Africa should be bold and very active in prioritising and protecting it interest before facing another centuries of oppression and marginalisiation. It is very naive to believe that strangers will come and solve our problems. Their interests are always going to be attached and we should not be negative about that as partners are needed to trade with. The first thing that was destroyed in Africa was Agriculture and Capitalism was imposed on them. This Capitalist institutions never favour the continent and her people instead Africa was used to support their system at the detriment of her people. No need to go back to history but the reality is Africans have been and are still abuse for the over consumption of others. Africa must prioritise her interest on restoring dignity in her people. Stability can be achieved when everybody is included in any process. Though Agriculture is demotivated on the continent remains the highest employer. Therefore, the first solution should be to accelerate gear in this sector. This is possible only with favourable Capital support and this require the strong unity of Africa in protecting their interest. Agriculture, health and practical education must be high on the scale of preference for Africa decision makers.
