Oil Debate Continues in Liberia

The House of Representatives concluded a nationwide consultation characterized by an exchange of ideas to determine how public interests can be protected if and when petroleum production begins. The Legislature has drafted an oil protection bill, and President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf said a solid law is needed "in order to give our country a strong start".
