High-Level Panel Calls for Urgent UN Reforms

Major reforms within the United Nations have been made by a panel of veteran diplomats to address what co-chair Ibrahim Gambari of Nigeria calls a "crisis in global governance."  Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeline Albright warned that continuing failure within the world body "risks prolonging and deepening" global crises. The report, entitled Confronting the Crisis of Global Governance, was issued at The Hague.
