Leading Ethiopian Opposition Leader Could Face Terrorism Trial
A high court in Ethiopia has granted police an additional 28 days to investigate prominent opposition leader, Dr. Merera Gudina, chairman of the Oromo Federalist Congress (OFC). Merera, who was detained when he returned to Addis four weeks ago after a three-week speaking tour in Europe, is now likely facing potential charges of terrorism.
