South African Axe Murder Accused's Wounds 'Superficial'

Clinical forensic specialist Dr Marianne Tiemensma told the Western Cape High Court that the wounds sustained by murder accused Henri Van Breda were typical of self-inflicted injuries. Van Breda faces three counts of murder and one of attempted murder of Martin van Breda, his wife Teresa and their son Rudi were killed at their De Zalze estate home. A strand of blonde hair was found in the palm of the accused's sister, Marli van Breda, who survived the attack.
